Maria is Co-Principal of Vento Properties, responsible for many aspects of the company, including property acquisitions, financial analyses, due diligence, contract negotiations, and asset and property management, where she has a particular focus.
Since graduating from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Maria has worked for Tage Corporation, her family’s closely held restaurant and hotel company. She held analytical positions in accounting, advising both restaurant and hotel managers on how to achieve their monthly revenue and operating income targets. She then transitioned into sales for the hotels, driving revenue growth for both corporate clientele and tour groups. She is a principal of Tage Capital Partners, a real estate investment group which specializes in triple net leases for restaurant and hotel properties.
Maria has been actively involved in the community which includes her children’s schools and activities. She’s held leadership positions in her son’s Boy Scout troop and daughter’s Lion’s Heart community service organization. She’s served as a volunteer at her children’s middle school teaching public speaking skills to kids, as a soccer coach, a basketball coach and an active PTA member. In addition, she regularly volunteers her time benefiting a variety of non-profits.
Maria is continually sharpening her skills in CRE through education and training. She has completed a certificate program in commercial real estate through eCornell. She is a member of NAIOP and a candidate pursuing the CCIM designation.
